POSITION SUMMARY

The Handyman will perform general maintenance and repair duties as needed for the purposes of ongoing building care and upkeep.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems
Oversee the surveying of buildings and equipment to ensure they maintain proper health and safety standards
Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations
Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
Perform light plumbing, landscaping, furniture assembly, sheetrock/painting, general carpentry, setup, etc. as needed.
Maintain a safe and functional facility.
Other assigned tasks as requested
Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment
Assemble furniture as needed

Qualifications

Candidate must have a growing & mature, demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ and exhibit a consistent Christ-like attitude and life.
High school diploma required and/or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1-2 years recent general maintenance/handyman experience.
General exposure to electrical works and carpentry experience helpful, but not required.

A team player with the ability to cultivate a team spirit within the ministry area and throughout Church

MINISTERIAL FUNCTION
